What do I expect from LNG2023?

"The LNG 20 Conference should address the growing challenges facing the use of carbon-based fuels and applications of LNG as an energy transport medium and end use fuel in conventional natural gas applications and transportation fuels markets. Natural gas from LNG continues to present opportunities to reduce carbon usage and footprint compared to other fuels and as a transportable and storage form of energy. These opportunities and benefits need to be emphasized in discussion of energy markets, new technologies, reduced airborne emissions, and socially-responsible energy planning"

Mr. Williams serves as a technical expert within the American Gas Association (AGA) on LNG issues supporting activities of the AGA Supplemental Gas Committee, which oversees AGA’s LNG technical program. He has served as Study Group Lead on the International Gas Union (IGU) study group leader on several studies, including LNG and new markets, LNG and gas interchangeability, and life cycle assessment of the LNG value chain and is currently leading the IGU study group project on greenhouse gas emissions from the LNG value chain. Mr. Williams is also a task group member for development of the IGU “World LNG Report.” Prior to joining AGA, Mr. Williams was Senior Project Manager on LNG Safety Research for the Gas Research Institute (GRI) where he served as the project management lead on LNG research for 11 years.

Mr. Williams’ research management responsibilities in LNG covered issues including LNG storage tank rollover, vapor dispersion and pool fire radiation from accidental releases, rapid phase transitions (RPTs) from spills on water, LNG release pool evaporation and pressurized release vaporization, crack arrest integrity of storage tank steels, and LNG vehicle refueling and onboard safety.

Mr. Williams holds advanced degrees from the Institute of Environmental Science, Miami University and Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University.
